Recently, the agricultural department of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, together with 3U Technology, launched a new practice of agricultural irrigation in local rice fields and orchards. The advanced 3U-A16 agricultural drone is used to achieve precise irrigation and efficient management, injecting new momentum into the modernization of local agriculture. Faced with the limitations of traditional irrigation methods, 3U-A16 uses the power of science and technology to help Gaoming District achieve green development.
As an important agricultural base in Foshan, Gaoming District has vast rice fields and orchards. However, traditional artificial irrigation methods are inefficient and difficult to cope with the demand for large areas of farmland, especially in the dry season, and uneven irrigation often leads to reduced crop yields. In order to improve agricultural production efficiency, the agricultural department of Gaoming District has actively introduced drone technology to explore new paths for smart agriculture.
The 3U technology team partnered with the Gaoming District Agriculture Department to launch a week-long pilot project in February 2025. The project focuses on 100 hectares of local rice fields and orchards, and uses 3U-A16 agricultural drones to carry out precision irrigation tasks. The drone is equipped with an intelligent navigation system and an efficient spraying device to achieve even sprinkling of water through aerial operations, covering every inch of farmland.
The 3U-A16 agricultural drone is a multi-functional device specially designed for agriculture, with a 12L large-capacity medicine box, supporting 10-15 meters wide spraying, and a maximum flight time of up to 30 minutes. Its modular design and intelligent obstacle avoidance technology ensure stable operation in complex terrain and provide reliable support for agricultural irrigation.
After the pilot, the 3U-A16 UAV has significantly improved the efficiency of agricultural irrigation in Gaoming District. Compared with the traditional manual method, the irrigation time is shortened by about 60%, the water resource utilization rate is increased by 30%, and the crop growth condition is significantly improved. Farmers report better growth of paddy and fruit trees, with yields expected to increase by 15 to 20 percent.
In addition, drone operation reduces manual labor intensity and reduces irrigation costs by about 25%, laying the foundation for the sustainable development of local agriculture. The agriculture department of Gaoming District said that the cooperation has achieved remarkable results and will promote the application of drone technology in a wider range and help the rural revitalization strategy.
3U Technology will continue to deepen the research and development of agricultural drone technology, and the products represented by A16 will bring smart agriculture solutions to more regions. In the future, we look forward to working with Gaoming and other agricultural regions to write a new chapter in green agriculture.
